Canadian Music Week @ The Drake Hotel

On both March 3rd and 4th DJ Triple-X played a 3 hour exclusive set of all Canadian music. It took a while for the crowd and staff to catch on, but soon everyone was up asking for their favourite Canadian hit. Everything from Bruce Cockburn and Valdy to the Spoons, the Demics, and Les Georges Lenigrad were played over the two nights, with no repeats of the same songs. That's 6 HOURS of all Canadian music, for the most part non-top 40 hits, somewhat adhering to the Triple-X format of "classic and obscure". A one of a kind performance.

Soundtrack-The Sequel @ The Drake Hotel

March 22nd saw the second installment of this unique evening put on by the Ministers of Rock. The night is a combination of DJ's, bands, and film. The bands play their sets along to an independent silent film, creating an original "soundtrack". Guest DJ Triple-X provide some of the musical muses between sets. Watch for the next edition.

Triple-X Thursdays @ The Vatikan

On March 24th Triple-X Productions rocked right into Good Friday with performances by Scandalnavia and Cougar Party. The crowd was pumped and the bands didn't disappoint. Both of these local outifts are on the verge of great success. Scandalnavia are in the midst of recording their first full length CD, and Cougar Party are ready to shoot their first video. DJ Triple-X concluded the night and kept the dance floor packed with a great mix of old and new alternative sounds.
