Knotty Knights New Year's Eve Party - December 31, 2004

DJ Triple-X lashed out all the alt tunes that some never heard before, others haven’t heard in a while, and many want to hear more of, as part of the Knotty Knights New Year’s Eve Party. Things got off to a slow start but the place was jammed by 11pm. There was a countdown and champagne toast at midnight and then it was non-stop partying til 3am.

Lot 16 is the best-kept-secret in the west end when Triple-X takes control spinning a bizarre mixture of 60’s trip-out, 70’s K-Tel hits, 80’s classic new wave beats, current indie climbers, and crazy-ass covers. The tiny lounge becomes a sweaty dance bar as table and chairs are moved aside to create the mock up dance floor. It's reminiscent of the Silver Crown, for those who remember that legendary jewel.

There was plenty of time to reflect on the past and rejoice in the new. So for 2005 your resolution should be to get yourself out to a night of debauchery Grab a table and chat with your friends or saddle up to the bar and meet some new ones.

Lot 16 is located in the heart of the Queen West Art and Design district. It’s an intimate bar within the former confines of the infamous Elvis Restaurant.

The Details: Lot 16 –1136 Queen St. W. 416-531-6556, 9 P.M. – 2 A.M.
